Abstract:
Innovation is a key success factor and basis for the growth of a company.
Especially the early phases of the product life cycle have an enormous impact
on the success of a product. Nevertheless the innovation process is often
not systematic and reproducible.
Come with me on the Innovation Journey. The Innovation Journey describes a
long and troublesome way beginning with the "voice of the customer" and
ending with a clear product concept for a future product. To avoid getting
lost the trodden path has to be taken again and again. There are many
different dangers and project risks that have to be handled in time.
To cope with all challenges and to achieve a successful product concept it is necessary to have:
a systematic and continuous innovation process
an appropriate innovation culture
a good project management and
knowledge management.
On our Innovation Journey the Process from the vision to the product
specification will be in the main focus. To achieve a systematic and continuous
process it is helpful to combine different methods into a methodical network.
QFD has a significant role within that network.
