Measuring e-strategy alignment and e-risk using QFD
Track: J3
Abstract:
e-Risk is a new, distinct, form of risk to which firms operating online are prone.
With dramatic growth in the use of the Internet by companies, it is important for them
to attempt to measure e-risk and implement appropriate strategies to control this
exposure. Through the application of QFD and risk analysis, this systematic and
cost-effective method allows a company to enhance its competitive position, assisting
in overcoming the many traditional barriers in the e-strategy process. Regular
repetition of the exercise improves the strategy re-formulation process ensuring
e-strategy is continuously aligned to meet stakeholders' requirements. This is
especially important given the Internet's competitive nature.
